Geologist from Universidad Industrial de Santander in 2008; MSc. in Earth Sciences from Universidad EAFIT in 2010 and PhD. in Geophysics from Universidade Federal da Bahia in 2015. MSc. candidate in Computer Sciences. Researcher in the Exploration Interpretation and Reservoir Characterization Group (GIECAR) at the Universidade Federal Fluminense.

Sebastian Rios Sabogal

I am a Software Engineer who graduated from Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia. I am also a volunteer who supports open software, knowledge, data, and technologies.

With over 9 years of experience in roles such as Backend Developer, Frontend Developer, Fullstack Developer, and Data Engineer in the software industry.

Over the past 3 years, I have made significant contributions to the construction and implementation of a low-cost air quality monitoring network in Cali, Colombia, in collaboration with the Tangara community and the Chispa NGO.

Currently, my interests are focused on Big Data, Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, Image Processing, and Governance.

Doctorado en Ciencias Matemáticas.  Universidad Nacional de Colombia.  Bogotá, 15 de septiembre de 2000.  Tesis: Autosemejanza en Topología y Algunas Extensiones de la Dualidad de Stone.

Soy matemático, magister en matemáticas con estudios de doctorado todo de la UNAL, 45 años de profesor en la UIS, mis áreas más cultivadas son la teoría de autómatas y la geometría fractal.

Estudiante de Ingeniería de a Sistemas y Computación de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Experiencia en aprendizaje y proyectos de programación con lenguajes como Python, Java y C.

Allan Cifuentes

Geoscientist with 12+ years of Formation Evaluation. Experienced in topics which include Mature fields, Heavy Oil, Conventional and Unconventional reservoirs across Latin America. I participated in supporting projects for drilling O&G horizontal and directional wells. I also have experience in data management, technical reports and developing projects.

Francisco Gamboa

Francisco Gamboa Ortega is a physicist from the Industrial University of Santander (UIS-Colombia), where he graduated in 2008. He worked at the Colombian Petroleum Company (Ecopetrol) from 2008 to 2010, where he was responsible for the seismic acquisition project in the Tenerife field, Barrancabermeja. In August 2010, he began his Master’s in Geophysics at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in Salvador, Brazil, and completed it in September 2012. He participated in the INCT-GP project (National Institute of Science and Technology in Petroleum and Gas Geophysics), where he received a master’s scholarship from CAPES (Comissão de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal do
Nível Superior). Currently, he has defended his doctoral thesis in geophysics at UFBA. His areas of interest in Exploration Geophysics include data processing, inversion, and seismic anisotropy. He is
versatile and has experience using various types of software. Francisco is a hardworking individual, capable of both fieldwork and office tasks. He is well-suited for teamwork, open research, and
enthusiastic about pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry or as a professor. Francisco Gamboa has strong computer skills that allow him to navigate and effectively use digital technologies, increase productivity, and solve complex problems. In addition, his adaptability, problem-solving skills, and commitment to continuous learning are important traits that complement his solid computer skills, enabling him to stay up-to-date with technological advancements and contribute effectively in various professional environments.
